Joyous Celebration today in Lilongwe
Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe will this evening host renowned South African gospel choir Joyous Celebration in a performance at a venue.
The 53-member group, which started jetting in the country on Wednesday, is expected to perform for the first time in Malawi since its establishment in 1994.
Choir musical director Siyanqoba Mthethwa said team cannot wait to share what they have in store for their Malawian fans.

“Malawians should look forward to having a goodtime in the presence of the Lord. We have brought the whole team so it is going to be a beautiful time,” he said.
Choir members Psalmist Sefako expressed excitement to be in Malawi to perform. He urged Malawians to patronise the event in large numbers to celebrate gospel music together.
“Malawians should come to worship and praise God. We are not only excited, but prepared for the show,” said Sefako.
Psalm Celebrations, who are local organisers, said everything is ready for the event.
Its leader, Godfrey Zulu, said: “We are set and prepared for this show. We want it to be historical in as much as gospel music is concerned. We want to give Malawians a once in a lifetime experience with one of the biggest choirs performing in the country.”
He has urged Malawians to purchase tickets online and physical tickets which are available in other churches and the Presidents Hotel in Lilongwe.
Joyous Celebration is expected to share the stage with local gospel choirs and musicians such as Psalmist Zulu, The Great Angels choir, Ndirande Anglican Voices, Debbie N and Amapiano Queen
